Rules & Stipulations
- Puppies have 72 hour (3 day) vet check guarantee. If your puppy has any condition that requires necessary treatment, (other than conditions such as worms, fleas, hernia (see #2) or minor problems) then we will let you trade for another puppy if available, or refund your money. Any genetic flaws do not warrant a refund or exchange, such as overbite or underbite as these are pet quality and not guaranteed show quality. We try to breed for closeness to standard, but occasional flaws do happen. This does not make your puppy any less of a great pet! For any flaws requiring medical attention Must get vet's documentation. (Purchasing a puppy from anyone should trigger a trip to the vet! Even the best of breeders can't detect all illnesses.)
- Hernias: pekingese are a breed that are prone to umbilical hernias at birth. Most small hernias will go away on their own by 6 mos., otherwise for females, they can be spayed through the hernia opening and it can be fixed on the way out. Getting a hernia fixed will be your responsiblity as small ones usually go away. If it is a large hernia, I will have it fixed before sale as the puppy could be in pain. Large hernias are usually red and swollen and start about as small as a coin. If the puppy gets to be 6 mos. or shows discomfort (or it has become larger) and still has a hernia, consult the vet.
- In order to have a puppy held, deposit ($100) must be made. Deposits are NON REFUNDABLE under any circumstance unless we return your money due to a puppy no longer being available. First come first serve basis. Email me whether you want to pay through paypal or send a money order for deposit and I will allow 5 days to receive it before giving another person the opportunity.
- Please, please, PLEASE never take a puppy to the pound! If you have bought a puppy from me and decide you can not take care of it or your situation has changed, please CONTACT ME! I may be able to buy the puppy back from you. (Prices vary on age and health.) Example: if you find you have to move and you can no longer have pets and your puppy is 6 mos. old, un-spayed or un-neutered, I may buy it back from you for half of what you paid.
- I worm and give boosters to all puppies once they are old enough. (They will also be flea free!) Animals can get fleas, ticks, worms in one day. Please do not assume I did not give them proper treatment. I recommend Frontline Plus for fleas/ticks and use it on my own dogs. Most over the counter worm medicines work, but tape worms usually need a prescription. I do not provide refunds on money if 2 weeks after you have received the puppy, it gets fleas.
- After the 72 hour time expires, I am no longer responsible for the dog. If while under your care, a dog bites another person or animal, I am not liable for the results. The puppies are not exposed to rabies while in my care and all my pets are up to date on rabies shots. It is recommended that you get your dog vaccinated for rabies at time of spay/neuter.
- I love to hear from happy customers, but I prefer not to be told sad news!
- I do not provide refunds for personality. If you don't like your dog's personality, perhaps a pekingese was a bad choice. My puppies are hand raised with constant attention. My dogs all have wonderful personalities and it should rub off on their puppies. If you find you do not like the personality after the initial adjustment period, I will NOT refund your money, but I might consider buying the puppy back (see #4) as an alternative to the pound.
